Unmasking Brain Injury Reveal

  • Hamilton Brain Injury Association Clubhouse 822 Main Street East Hamilton, ON, L8M 1L6 Canada (map)

The Unmasking Brain Injury Project was inspired by military veterans. To date, the project spans three Countries.

To kickoff Brain Injury Awareness Month, HBIA along with 20 other communities throughout Ontario will unveil the masks clients, participants, members, and individuals with acquired brain injuries have created. The 'Mask Project' aims to take the invisibility out of brain injury, and bring awareness to what it's like to live with a brain injury. Each mask tells a different story that is representative of the individuals brain injury.

More than 847 masks have been created since the Unmasking Brain Injury movement started. Visit our Facebook page to view survivors masks - masks will be revealed on June 1, 2018. Join the movement.
