The Unmasking Brain Injury Project was inspired by military veterans. To date, the project spans three Countries.
To kickoff Brain Injury Awareness Month, HBIA along with 20 other communities throughout Ontario will unveil the masks clients, participants, members, and individuals with acquired brain injuries have created. The 'Mask Project' aims to take the invisibility out of brain injury, and bring awareness to what it's like to live with a brain injury. Each mask tells a different story that is representative of the individuals brain injury.
