Rachel Kleiman, Service Coordinator, Group Facilitator AND PEER SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Rachel obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a Major in Sociology, and Minor in Media Studies at Brock University in 2015 and later completed her Social Service Worker Diploma at Mohawk College in 2017. Rachel sits on the Program Advisory Committee for Brain Disorders Management Program at Mohawk College. Rachel is passionate about volunteerism, community engagement, and ensuring the quality of life for survivors of ABI. Rachel facilitates all survivor based programs offered at the Clubhouse and oversees all other programming including the Family & Caregiver, Spouse Support Groups and Peer Support Program. Rachel coordinates workshops, seminars, information booths, and awareness/prevention education initiatives. Rachel performs administrative duties, maintains all social media, and is involved with all of the organizations events, and committees.
Nermeen Estafanous, Group Facilitator
Nermeen obtained her medical degree and practiced medicine in Egypt before she relocated to Hamilton in 2015. Nermeen recently obtained her certificate in the Brain Disorders Management Program from Mohawk College where she completed her placement with HBIA. After completing her placement in August, Nermeen accepted a Group Facilitator position with HBIA. Nermeen is a part-time facilitator of our Survivor Support Groups and Clubs.
Sandra Salas, Group Facilitator
Sandra is a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW. Sandra joined the HBIA team in March as Group Facilitator of the Spouse Support Group and began facilitating the Family & Caregiver Support Group in July.
